Houda is a singer/songwriter/composer. She has been working and performing with other bands growing up in Morocco. She started working with other musicians on original Alternative Rock music since December 2007. Houda has been playing around the Triangle in different venues that promote original work. She performs with varying musicians, which allows her to experiment with different sounds that she incorporates in her songs.

Rebekah Todd

Rebekah Todd grew up in the small town of Benson, North Carolina, and was surrounded by music as early as she could remember. At eight years old, she started formal piano lessons, but soon figured out that the structure of reading music didn't quite fit her style of learning. Soon after, Rebekah's father gave her a black acoustic Washburn guitar and offered to teach her to play. A musician himself, her father enjoyed showing his daughter the way around the fret board. He flooded the house with sounds of classic rock and folk, playing everything from The Beatles to Bob Dylan, and Rebekah instantly found her musical niche.
She began honing her craft and getting comfortable on stage by playing in bands in junior high and high school. As Rebekah grew into her voice and picking style, she started to pull inspiration from a wide range of musical genres, which shapes the music she writes and performs today. While Rebekah can cover songs ranging from Led Zeppelin to Katy Perry, she often cites soulful singer/songwriters like Lauryn Hill and Susan Tedeschi as her inspiration.
Since receiving a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from East Carolina University (2012), Rebekah has been completely devoted to writing and touring up and down the east coast, knowing she has to put in the hard work and time to reach her goals. Currently a solo acoustic act, she has shared the stage with talented musicians like Paleface, Jim Avett, and Holy Ghost Tent Revival.

After graduating high school, she moved from Pennsylvania to Florida where she met her first mentor, Bo Diddley, and learned how to transition her powerhouse vocals from an operatic background to a blues platform. From there she joined forces with Spellbox, an acoustic duo based out of Gainesville, FL. Her travels across the United States and multiple independent recordings led to a $50K fan funded album with Sellaband in 2006. Mysti Mayhem's most recent release, also a fan funded album, is her 6th to date. She currently resides in North Carolina performing and in constant search of new musical opportunities and endeavors.

The Red Vibes

The Red Vibes are Raleigh's hottest acoustic duo ready to vibrate your eardrums with sounds ranging from Janis Joplin to Robert Plant all the way to Adele. Influenced by the rich sounds of classic rock, groovy vibrations of funk, the soulful down home blues, pop, and even a little bit of country. Amanda Williams lights up the stage with her heart melting vocals and oh so smooth rhythm guitar. While David Peach rips up the guitar with his jaw dropping signature leads and riffs. We aim to please and truly love doing what we do. Come watch us paint the stage RED with our rich heartfelt sounds, while you loose yourself in the music!!!!

Folkstar

Folkstar tackles teen bullying in the song “It Gets Better” (inspired by the It Gets Better Project). They scrutinize our manufactured lives in “Fabrication” and “Everybody Knows” and expose animal exploitation in “Human” and the jazzy number “Abolitionists.” Crowd favorite “Could You Be” is an anthem about love and dreams, as is “Dream Thieves.” Songs exploring death include “Final Curtain” and “New Eyes,” which delve into the emotional complexities of losing someone. Of course there are songs about love as well, such as “Trampoline” and “Ice Queen,” reminiscent of Folkstar’s debut album Emotional Bootcamp. Finally, the title track "Loud and Clear" tells the story of Cag’s hearing loss and talks about a “wake up call,” a common theme throughout the album.

Hannah Ruth

Hannah Ruth of Raleigh, NC, has been singing and song writing ever since she was a child. She began her musical journey by performing in various churches with her father, Micah Christian. The fruit of her heavy involvement in music and the performing arts during her high school years resulted an effortless knack for public performances. She became more widely known around Raleigh after frequent participation in the Berkeley Cafe's open mic jam. Her audience claims that she has a special way of engaging them through her good vibes, groovy guitar rhythms, and angelically sweet vocals. She has been found entertaining various audiences...anywhere from bars and clubs in China, to the the streets of LA, and out on the playa in the dusty camps of Burning Man. Nowadays, Hannah Ruth is most likely to be found writing in a coffee shop or jamming out at a local Raleigh open mic.

Kurtzweil

Kurtzweil, formed in Raleigh, NC, exemplifies the region's deep tradition of story telling. They are a band who knows well the desperate ache of loneliness and the consuming warmth of love, and infuses their music with a healthy dose of each. Their playful rhythms help keep your smile bright and and your toes tapping, but they know how to slow it down and wallow with the audience in a private moment of hopelessness when it is called for. Katie Cooper and Adam Cooper, Kurtzweil's two founding members, collaborate beautifully to create a band that is bigger than the sum of its parts. Their live show brings you in to a world where all you know are the sensory experiences of the now, the memories of many pasts and the hope of every future. Katie's honest vocals and tender fingerpicking can arrest your breath or put a fire in your eyes while Adam will woo you with a bass line that is as heartfelt as he is or inspire you to get your dance on with his rocking rhythm guitar.
